100 mile course from Whistler/Pemberton to Squamish

Has anyone ever thought of running or creating a 100 mile trail race from Whistler (or area) to Squamish?

What would this course be? Trails, route, places for aid etc?

I'm
not thinking about being an RD for this, but I am thinking about
running if a course existed (next summer). I was thinking something
like Comfortably Numb (25km), some Lost Lake trails (??) connecting to
the Cheakamus 50 course if possible (50-60km) and then Stormy course
(67km) which is close to 160. Does this make sense and could this all
be connected?

Tired of ACU-OUS

Is anyone else completely tired with the ongoing bickering of the OUS/ACU?

I guess in BC we'd rather actually run than just talk about running, which I guess is also why BC is Canada's trail running mecca (that's right, I said it). I guess it is fitting for those living in the centre of the world and close to Ottawa to remain political and fight for democracy.

If the issue is who runs for Canada in 100km championships, it's not hard to figure it out. If you want to run in the Worlds, do a qualifying race. Maybe we need more qualifying races? If CZ (I just used CZ because he is the fastest Canadian in my opinion) does not want to bore himself to death on a 5km out and back course or a 10km round about then he can enter as an open runner. However, I would like to see a course ratings. I know if anyone runs sub 9 or 9:15 at Miwok, that is bloody fast and I think faster then an 8:15 on TUR or BC100km courses. I have no plans on running a 100km road event anyways, I'm just tired of the talk.

Think Your Bad Ass is a Fat Ass?

November 19 is your chance to prove it. Of the 200 or so members, I expect to see at least 50 for Nov 19, Go Home. It's 20km of pure satisfaction so get your ass off the couch and come out for a fun run. I know of a couple runners that want to run close to 2 hours or faster. A few special awards for this event which will be revealed at the after party!

See ya there and happy trails

Runner's in Banff Friday?

Hey

I'm in Banff for work on Thurs and Fri, but have some time on Friday to hit some trails if anyone in that area is interested? Looking for 2-3 hours-casual.

I know the area and have a ride if we had to get out of town a bit. K-Country, Spray, Hoodoos, Cascade, Canmore. I'm pretty open. I'll be heading out somewhere but company is nice. Hopefully the bears are gone to bed for the winter!

I was originally thinking of hitting Cascade and Rundle on Friday but probably not as I hear the weather has been turning, so I'm opting for something shorter.
